Supervisor, LA County’s Third District.
Called to be of service. she/her

Last week, our County Film Office and @EconOppLA r Last week, our County Film Office and @EconOppLA released their 120-page report on the Warner Bros. Paramount merger. It confirmed what Angelenos are thinking: this is a bad deal for LA County.

The report found that more than 15,000 corporate roles and thousands of LA based jobs could be at risk. Beyond the set, the economic impact to our small businesses — all the people who do business with the casts and crews who make productions happen — could mean millions in lost tax revenue, and even more in lost economic output.

This is why we’re supporting the AG’s lawsuit to block this merger. This is a bad deal for Hollywood, and a bad deal for LA County.

In this installment of our 2025 Wildfires series, we met with Michelle Pierce, the owner of @mvbabookstore. After receiving a grant from LA County's Business Interruption Fund, they're still operating and serving the community they love.
