SUPERVISOR HORVATH SHARES STATEMENT ON ICE RAIDS IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

June 10th, 2025

LOS ANGELES, CA – Supervisor Horvath shared a statement on the ongoing ICE raids in San Fernando Valley:

“Today’s reports of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity across Los Angeles County are an abomination. My office has received confirmed reports of actions in the Northeast San Fernando Valley and Hollywood that have sown fear in our neighborhoods.

Let me be clear: there is no place for ICE raids in LA County. Our communities are not war zones. These actions target hardworking families, vendors, and neighbors—people who are the fabric of this county. We will not stand by as our immigrant community is terrorized. We will stand shoulder to shoulder with you.

To the woman selling tamales in Pacoima who was taken, to those who showed up at Plaza Pacoima to stand against these tactics, to the countless street vendors showing up every day to provide for their families—we see you. We honor your courage.

My heart is with all the families affected today. We will continue to fight for dignity, for safety, and for justice. If you or someone you know has been impacted, please call my office or reach out to the LA County Office of Immigrant Affairs for support and resources. You are not alone.”
