Melissa Esparza serves as Press Deputy for Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, assisting with press outreach and overseeing Spanish-language media relations.

Born and raised in Pacoima, Melissa is deeply committed to amplifying community voices and bridging the gap between institutions and the people they serve. Before joining the Supervisor’s office, she served as Press Deputy for Congressmember Tony Cárdenas. She is a proud UC Berkeley graduate with degrees in Political Science and Ethnic Studies. Melissa strives to make government more accessible through stories that reflect the voices of those most impacted.
