MEET CATHERINE LANDERS
Housing & Homeless Deputy

Catherine Landers serves as Housing and Homeless Deputy for Supervisor Lindsey Horvath. Most recently she worked in legislative affairs for the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), and at the City of Los Angeles as Director of Special Projects for Councilmember David Ryu where she oversaw the office’s homelessness initiatives and policy.
Catherine is an advocate and attorney with experience in policy, communications, community engagement, and management. She has held senior roles on a number of electoral and advocacy campaigns at both the federal and local levels. She also worked as an Honored Guest Manager for the Special Olympics World Games held in Los Angeles in 2015.
Catherine is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and American University Washington College of Law, where she defended tenants from eviction as part of a legal clinic. She lives with her partner Steve and their cat in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles at the southern end of the Third District.
