As Senior Health Deputy, Angelica oversees the Public Health, Mental Health and Health services policy portfolio for Supervisor Horvath.  Prior to joining the team, Angelica served Supervisor Kuehl as Budget Deputy, Associate Health Deputy, and the San Fernando Valley Senior Field Deputy.  Her experience also includes serving as director of a youth leadership program in California for YouthBuild USA.   

Additionally, she worked for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s administration in different capacities.  Angelica was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, where she still resides with her husband and two young children.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology from UCLA and a Master’s in Public Administration from USC.
