HISTORIC GOVERNANCE REFORM: Chair Horvath on Measure G Approval by Voters

November 8, 2024

LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, Lindsey P. Horvath, Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, shares the following statement on the historic passage of Measure G.

“Los Angeles County voters have made history in passing Measure G, ushering in the change necessary for a more effective Los Angeles County. Through this historic change, we will address the most pressing issues facing Angelenos with greater urgency and accountability, while also creating a more ethical and representative government fit for the 21st century.

This victory means that every community, from the San Fernando Valley to the South Bay, from the San Gabriel Valley to the Antelope Valley, will now have greater access to a government ready to prioritize their needs. This is a victory not only for today, but for generations to come. In the coming days, we will be working on the next steps to begin an inclusive implementation process and deliver on the promises of Measure G.”
