SUPERVISOR HORVATH STATEMENT ON PHASE 2 DEBRIS REMOVAL

LOS ANGELES, CA – Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath shared the following statement from the Pacific Palisades, where the first properties of Phase 2 debris removal began today. She joined LA City Mayor Karen Bass and leaders from FEMA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and CalOES to mark the historic speed of this undertaking.

“Starting today, we are taking another critical step toward recovery as Phase 2 of debris removal is now underway,” said Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath. “With federal, state and local partners working together, we are getting resources on the ground and moving with unprecedented urgency to clear debris and rebuild. This is the fastest debris removal effort in state history, and we are committed to making sure Los Angeles County communities recovery as quickly and safely as possible.”
