SUPERVISOR HORVATH STANDS WITH SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
March 18th, 2026
LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath issued the following statement in response to recent allegations concerning Cesar Chavez.
“Today’s news from Dolores Huerta – a fearless champion for women, workers, and justice – is shattering. That a woman of such integrity and accomplishment, for decades, felt she needed to put the work of others before the pain of her own trauma is another reminder of how toxic and debilitating patriarchy remains in our culture. I love Dolores for so many reasons, including her courage to come forward and share her truth.
My heart is with all of the survivors who are coming forward at this time. I am heartbroken to witness our community in mourning, and will continue to fight for a world where survivors can see justice and live without shame or fear.”
